Well, I went to temple and prayed today. Nothing special actually.
I went to 求签问卦 (ask for prediction? i don't know the english translation..) and i got a bad one. Haha. It's pretty fun though.
The summary of the prediction is : Be contented or else the one suffer is you (i guess.. don't really understand)
Wow. Although I did have the desire to persuade my parents to allow me to do A levels, I think perhaps form 6 is a more realistic choice. Now my main aim should be Singapore Universities ( NUS, NTU, etc.).
Anyway, better colleges are more expensive, not so good college are way cheaper. For example, at UEM, which is the BEST college for A levels, the expenses (including tuition fee, accomodation, food and A levels exam fees) is about RM60,000 (wah. can go study degree liao); at HELP is about 40,000 (can still get a 10,000 scholarship..); at taylors is about the same as help, about 30,000-40,000 also; UCSI is about 30,000, while at TAR college it's only about RM10,000 plus.
The course is still the same. It's still A levels course (except HELP & UCSI, theirs are london board A levels, while the others are cambridge board).
Now, compare to stpm.
You will only spend about 10,000 staying at home (including accomodation, food, tuition fees, book fees).
Though so, 99% students at UEM always enrol to top Oxbridge Universities. This is a fact. A number of taylors and help student also went to top Unis, though lesser. I had never heard of A levels student from TAR going to Oxbridge (that doesn't mean they don't have.. just tat i dunno..)
But you can't really compare UEM with Taylors or Help, since 99.9% of UEM students are scholarship holiders. While only about a fraction of Taylors and Help student are scholarship holders. Scholars tend to do better, I guess.
Haha.
that's all i guess. I don't want to be accused of writing too long.
bye.
